The Data & Analysis Center for Software (DACS) is the DoD Information Analysis Center specializing in software technology. The DACS will keep you up-to-date on what is happening in software. The DACS already acquires and sorts through the mass of software information that is generated every month, so you don't have to!

The DACS has expanded and upgraded its bibliographic database of Scientific and Technical Information to include research articles, professional society publications, government reports, conference proceedings, software industry news, scheduled events, and software tool information. We have also implemented state-of-the-art text analysis tools for indexing and categorizing the information in our database. As a result, the DACS is offering a new subscription service -- the DACS Customized Electronic Technology Magazine.

The way this service works is that you provide ( E-mail) the DACS with a list of each topic you are interested in. Every month, you will receive by E-mail, Fax, or mail a listing of citations and abstracts of new articles and developments in the software technology area(s) you identified. The abstract will provide all you need to know to keep current in your topic. If not, the citation information will point you directly to the key articles or papers you want to read.

The cost is only $40 per month for each software topic area selected.

The DACS is also at your service to answer technical questions and problems, often at no charge. We are able to perform custom bibliographic searches, consulting services and on-site training courses in such areas as systems engineering, software measurement and World Wide Web authoring.
