The Fall 1993 issue of the DACS Newsletter described how the DACS populates, analyzes, and disseminates the contents of several software engineering and technology databases. We are currently updating the contents of two major components of the Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) collection: the Software Engineering Research Projects (SERP) and the Software Engineering Tools Information (SETI) databases.

Data collection packages for both the SERP and SETI databases were distributed during October 1993 via surface mail to portions of the DACS user community. In addition, electronic versions of the data collection forms are available via E-Mail to any organization wishing to submit data for inclusion in either database. Refer to the following article, DACS Information via E-Mail, for guidance on requesting the SERP and SETI data collection forms via E-Mail.
