This workshop will explore a variety of software engineering issues. A primary focus of the workshop will be on papers dealing with software metrics, reliability, and testing. The following list highlights some of the areas to be discussed during the workshop:
The workshop will include both invited and contributed papers as well as panel sessions. An optional tutorial on software metrics, software testing, and software reliability is scheduled for July 12-13, 1993.

The 8th Annual Knowledge-Based Software Engineering Conference (KBSE-8) will be held in Chicago, IL on September 20-23, 1993. This conference, sponsored by Rome Laboratory, in cooperation with AAAI, ACM, and IEEE, provides a forum for researchers, practitioners, and developers to exchange ideas and results regarding the application of artificial intelligence and knowledge-based techniques to all aspects of software development.
Tutorials will be offered to participants: An Introduction to KBSE, Knowledge-Based Software Process Engineering, and An In-Depth Examination of the Kestrel Interactive Development System (KIDS). Technical sessions, including paper presentations, panels, and plenary address, will follow the tutorials. Plenary addresses will be presented by Dr. Eric Sumner, Jr. of AT & T Bell Laboratories and Dr. John Mylopolous of the University of Toronto.
The anticipated fees are $200 for the tutorials, $250 for the technical program, and $450 for both events.
